        We have come up with a great way to impact children in crisis, emergency, or other circumstance at the earliest moment when it can count most . In December 2023 we made 50 prototype boxes measuring 9x12x2 and filled them with a Coloring activity book with crayons, puzzles, mini deck of UNO cards, a Hot Wheel or Barbie doll and pop it fidget toys among others.

 

     We Christmas wrapped these and gave them to Police, Sheriff, Fire and Rescue,Ronald McDonald House, and Social Services.

 

    The response was tremendous and we actually met a family that received boxes at Christmas and spoke to some officers that were able to give them out.
They all desperately want more !

 

     We are very excited to be able to provide these tools of emotional support were we can not be at the time of occurrence. 

 

     We hope you can donate to help us send these boxes of hope right were they need to be. The 50 boxes we put together cost us about $20.00 each. We will continue to look for direct donations of these toy items to lower the cost per box and be able to serve more children.

 

      We are also looking to publish our own Coloring activity book to showcase Susanville and all that Lassen County has to offer with the help of Child Development resources to make these books fun, enjoyable as well as therapeutic and comforting. 

 

      We have agencies all over the country waiting to implement these boxes, that we hope will be much more than a stuffed toy can provide.
 
     We are looking at a way to track these boxes and how they have ended up helping a child, so that you can “Sponsor” a box and get the news of what it meant to that child!
